Open Question: Are throwing stars, knives, blades of any kind legal to *possess* in the state of Virginia as a collector?

or to use in personal sport/recreation?
The pasttime of target practce; archery, throwing blades/darts is not much different than horseshoes except how easy it is to use the actual items used in the sport as dangerous weapons.
True, horseshoes themselves are heavy enough to cause a concussion but you see my point.
Are they legal if not used in an offensive manner, as opposed to sport or in the unlikely event, defensive manner?
I see people walking around with these things clipped on or worn or whatnot and it makes me wonder what the actual legalities and legistations are.
Open Question: Help easy 10 points!!!!!!!!!!?

Open Question: University of Notre Dame Admissions?
Mon, 26 Nov 2007 03:12:26 GMT
I go to a Catholic High School near Chicago, I am in all Honors and AP, and take two science classes (one honors, one AP). My GPA runs on percentage, and I have about a 98-99 weighted. I got a 33 on my ACT and a 1430 on my SAT (I'm retaking both). I'm not involved in athletics, but am a writer on my school newspaper, co-president of two clubs, and was on student gov for 2 years. I know ND is very big on alumni connections. A relative of mine was a professor there and has art in the museums, but he is only my grandpa's cousin, and I am not related to anyone who actually attended. I have mandatory service hours through my school, but am considering getting a volunteer job (I also have a regular job, as sometimes that matters). If any current students/alumni could offer advice on how to improve my chances of admission, or estimate what those chances are, it would be appreciated.
